CAP Job Club
We are actively helping people to succeed in finding work
Since early 2016 we have partnered with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) to set up and run CAP Job Clubs.
Each ‘Job Club’ course runs for 8 weekly sessions and supports unemployed job seekers from a variety of backgrounds by giving them help, guidance, advice in a relaxed, friendly environment.
To date we have been able to help 25 Club members, 8 of whom have found jobs and a further 2 have taken a step of faith to become Christians.
To find out more about CAP Job Clubs please contact Alison on 07745 795 100 or search the CAP website for ‘Leicester Freemens’.
"I had been trained as a chef but, after being unemployed for over 2 years, I joined the Job Club in 2016. They helped to find me some part-time work in a kitchen and then I was asked to stand in temporarily for one of the chefs. Now I have been promoted to be the Assistant Chef." [NB]
CAP Money Course
We are actively helping people to succeed in managing their finances
In 2017 we started running CAP Money Courses and have seen people make great progress in getting to grips with their finances.
Whether you feel pretty organised or whether it’s like a lucky dip every time you try to withdraw cash from your account, the CAP Money Course will help you take complete control of your finances.
We want to help people to learn how to budget, save and reduce or prevent debts. It’s about having the right skills, not delving into what might be in your back pocket.
This is a practical, hands on course which is completely free and usually runs over 3 sessions. To find out more about CAP Money Courses please contact Kevin on 07500 229 251.
